Welcome to the 2005 Taste at the Cove annual fundrasing event benefitting the San Diego Sports Medicine Foundation. The 2005 event in La Jolla Cove brought out a host of local athletes and celebrities to raise money to provide medical services to children who otherwise would not have the money or resources to do it on their own. Come take a look at this years very successful event which included a skateboarding demo by Tony Hawk, fashion show and silent auction. The 2005 Taste at the Cove event was held September 8th at Ellen Browning Scripps Park in La Jolla Cove. The fundraiser is an annual event held by the San Diego Sports Medicine Foundation to raise money for kids who are injured playing sports and do not have the money or insurance to get the injury repaired. The San Diego Sports Medicine Foundation donates the physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologists and therapists needed to fix and repair the injuries of the youngsters who normally would have to wait and possibly never get treatment. The money raised from the event goes to pay for the hard costs of medications, gloves, drapes, non re-usable equipment etc.... This chef from Jakes in Del Mar was very classy and had some awesome preperations for the guests. He also managed to crack a smile when I told him I had a new appreciation for how hard being a chef was after watching a tv show "Hell's Kitchen", which was a "survivor type show" for chef's in Los Angeles.
